Introducing The Littlest Bear Blog

Wisdom from a working mom who’s right there in the trenches with you

Or, What to ACTUALLY expect when you’re expecting

Welcome to The Littlest Bear, a blog for working moms

A little bit about me: I’m a new mom to a beautiful, smart little girl and two playful doodles; wife to an amazingly supportive husband, genetic counselor (which I always used to say was a good thing if you’ve never heard of one, though I’m starting to think that shouldn’t be the case – more on that later); marketer and strategy lead for a dedicated team of crazy smart hardworking people at a molecular diagnostics company that’s changing the way cancer is treated; avid reader; crocheter of amigurumi; CrossFitter and newly minted yoga teacher (to name a few).

A bit of background on the name: when we got our second puppy Ari (a sassy pants mini Bernedoodle) and it rapidly became clear that she was NOT going to hit the 40 pound mark we were expecting her to, we started calling her little bear. Then when I got pregnant with our daughter who was obviously even smaller (and frankly, still is), we started referring to her as our littlest bear :).

I’m excited to share my recent learnings on motherhood with others here on The Littlest Bear Blog. This is more than just a creative outlet for me; my hope is that it’s also a place where other working moms can come to not feel so alone (and maybe someday, a place where we can connect and form a community with other like-minded women). Stay tuned for some of my thoughts & gentle advice on pregnancy, postpartum healing, breastfeeding, fitness, and parenting!

Thank you for being here! Looking forward to connecting.
